Meet Kelsey and Joost.
Kelsey had grown up in Alaska, but had moved out of state years ago. She met this adorable guy from the Netherlands and before you know it they are planning an Alaska Destination Wedding!
There were two things that were really important to this couple. One: pretty much every single person coming to this wedding did not live here. And second: they really wanted to make sure everyone had a great time! Which if you follow anything that we do at La Boum Events, you know that we specialize in making weddings THE BEST BASH EVER! And of course the bride wanted it to be a gorgeous wedding, which was incredibly fun to design.
Kelsey had a great eye and a perfect vision. She loved a lot of the natural elements of feathers, leather and antlers, which were then paired with corrugated metals and soft blush.

Hey there! I am Rebecca Kopperud, a born and bred Alaskan, as well as the owner and chief designer behind
La Boum Events.
I began my career in event planning organizing conferences and meetings. In 2012 I had the opportunity to strike out on my own and start my own company. I choose the name La Boum Events because it is slang for "the party!" I was looking for a name that reflected my love of french culture, my bubbly personality and above all, my love for entertaining. La Boum Events was born and we absolutely took off planning Alaska's best weddings and celebrations.
